Leon Ayo is Managing Partner of our Manchester Office and leads Berwick Partners Public Sector Business nationally.
Leon started his career in the British Army where he served as an Officer for eight years. Throughout this time he served in Africa, Central America, Northern Ireland and the Middle East, also spending a year working for the Military Attaché in Paris.
Leon entered the recruitment industry initially specialising in placing human resources professionals in the not-for-profit and professional services sectors before moving into executive search. Leon has worked on a range of senior public sector search and selection assignments and has also sold and delivered bespoke human resources consultancy services, particularly in the areas of diversity, executive coaching and management development.
Before leaving the Army he set up and established the British Army’s Diversity Action team and is an expert in this area. He is a fluent French speaker.
