Kathryn Young has supported many leading private, public and not-for-profit sector organizations in British Columbia to recruit senior leaders including CEOs, COOs, Executive Directors, heads of marketing, sales, business development, technology, finance and human resources.
With a strong focus on assessing fit within an organization, she works closely with selection committees, Boards of Directors and other key stakeholders to ensure an acute understanding of the needs of the client organization in order to recruit and assess against that need. She has built a reputation for her strong service orientation to clients and candidates alike.
Prior to joining the firm in early 2000, Kathryn spent more than 10 years in business development and territory leadership positions internationally, and later in the not-for-profit sector when she returned to Canada.
Supporting our community is key to Kathryn, as it is for all those of the firm. In 2009 alone, Kathryn sat as a member of the United Way of the Lower Mainland’s Campaign Cabinet and led the “loaned rep” program. She was an active fundraiser on behalf of several arts and academic organizations and sat on the Board of a private family foundation.
Kathryn holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Alberta and a Certificate in Mandarin Studies from the Beijing University of Language and Culture. She is married with two young children.
