Diana M Ellis is the Founding Partner of the Education Practice at Odgers Berndtson. She has spent most of her career in the academic world. In 1991 Diana set up and headed an educational recruitment practice for senior executives, one of the first of its kind. She has built up a strong portfolio and has helped a large number of Governing Bodies and Councils. Her assignments include Vice Chancellors, Chief Executives, Principals and Heads. Among her appointments are the Master of University College, Oxford, the Chief Executive of Ashridge, the Principal of St Andrews University, and the Founding Director of the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education.
Diana has combined a career in educational management with experience in the commercial world. She was appointed to lead an educational establishment, which she turned from a loss to a highly motivated and successful profit making concern. She has had responsibility for a substantial number of people, large budgets and world-wide marketing campaigns.
Diana took her first degree at the University of Durham and went on to Salamanca University for further studies in Spanish. She gained a PGCE at Bristol and an M.Litt. at St Andrews University.
