Alex Thomson is a Partner in the Boston office of Odgers Berndtson and Head of the US Asset Management Practice. With over 15 years in the executive recruiting field he has conducted numerous “C Level” searches across the Asset Management spectrum including real estate, debt and equity investment.
Before joining Odgers Berndtson, he was with Russell Reynolds for 12 years in their Asset & Wealth Management, Real Estate, and Endowment & Foundation practices. Previously he headed Whitehead Mann's Wealth & Asset Management practice in North America.
Prior to working in executive search, he was VP and Team Leader in the Real Estate Investment Banking Division at Shawmut Bank in Boston. Before that, he was a real estate development Project Manager with Old Stone Development Corporation, having begun his career as a Marketing Manager with Fleet National Bank.
Alex is a graduate of Wesleyan University where he is an Alumni Volunteer, assessing potential applicants for the University.
